Ya know, unless yer racing in a specific class that pro-hibits it, a 2180 will fit just as nice as that 1200cc engine.

I'm going to put a hopped up 914 motor in it and a/x the thing first off.

I just got back from an 8 day trip to L.A., so now I can work on some projects.

I had forgotten the typ1 uses the same transaxle-engine bolt circle as the later type 4's and porsche flat 6's.


I think it needs a PMO'd 911 2.7 out back there.


Surely someone has done that. It wouldn't do good thing for the weight distribution but that could be accounted forwith fat rear tires

Really nice work! Have fun. Here is mine, run in vintage in the PNW. Racing season is just around the corner. Have fun. Have you thought of running it with VARA, CSRG, whoever else is down there?
