I would eat it. Why don't people cringe at drinking 40 year old wine?

Sell by, best if used by, etc... are not expiration dates. Sell by means just that, sell it by this date. They don't expect people to eat the food in their car in the parking lot. Best if used by is similar. It means that the food will taste best if eaten before that date. If it expires or must use by or something like that, then yeah, they may mean that the stuff may be bad after that date. Even milk is not definitely bad after it's date. Smell is usually the best indicator, but it's not 100%.

Pickled food may be totally fine. It is pickled which is a way of preserving, but 10 years seems like a long time.

Well I went and ate a whole spear Friday and chased it down with a shot of Vodka.
it was better than I expected, still had the spicey taste that they originally had and were chrispy /crunchy and have no ill feelings .....but I have thrown them away, no since tempting fate.

I always tell her "It's been cold the whole time". She says she gonna put that on my grave marker...

Eat the Spargel! I bet it's good. I'd be willing to guinea pig it for ya.

Same here. My favorite are the ones listed as "Best by". So... now that it's a week later, does that mean it's still "pretty good?".

My wife puts a two day limit on leftovers. I go 5... unless it's seafood.

He finally met his match with some 10 day old fried chicken. He was out sick for 3 days.
That doesn't seem too bad to me. I've eaten leftovers over a week old countless times.

Once I was eating some leftover lemon chicken from Panda Inn... It didn't taste right, so I called my wife and asked how long ago did we go to Panda Inn? Apparently it had been 3-4 weeks. I threw it out, but had already eaten about a third of it. It tasted funny but I was fine.

I found it only mildly amusing - at best.

First of all I do not think throwing curse words around ads to comedy. But worse:

Making fun of pickled pork rinds? And tripe as an ingredient? What is happening with the pussification of our menus? Liver and onions has all but disappeared from diner menus. And taquerias all want to be Chipotle now, taking anything interesting off their meat selection. Just glad I hunt and live close to a Ranch99.
