I'm voting that they are both douches. She was a left lane bandit, surface street or not. But, there is no excuse for acting like a moron after a left lane bandit pisses you off.
She caused his anger which caused him to end up being the bigger douche and paying the bigger price. Hopefully he learned a lesson. I saw something similar once on the freeway here in Houston. 4 lanes each direction, the 3 right hand lanes are full of trucks driving side by side. At least they aren't in the left lane. Some idiot comes up in the far right lane hauling butt (it's raining). They won't move for him, so he cuts from the far right to the far left, and then, I'm sure to "show them", he tries to cut back to the far right lane. I had seen him trying to push the guy in the right to speed up while I passed them all in the left lane, so when he passed them and jerked back across in front of them, I saw his spin in front of three fullsize trucks in my rear view mirror. It was a pucker moment for me and I wasn't even involved. I also once watched a soccer mom and an old guy battle it out at the end of two lanes merging. The soccer mom was half off of the road on the right nearly in a ditch and the old guy was half in the oncoming lane. Neither wanted to yield, and apparently both were entitled. |
Man why do all of my posts here get only 1 star. This thread is pure comedy yo. Some left lane bandit here must hate me.

PS- that dip**** might as well move to Alaska. He'll never hear the end of this- ever. rjp |
I didn't see anything in the story about her being charged with anything. Seems like making a video while driving is obvious unsafe operation. Letting her go will just encourage more idiots to play Steven Spielberg while driving.

This happened here. I'm sure he will by paying her a visit and hooking up his 4x4 to her trailer and pulling it off the blocks as soon as he is out of the pokie.

"Born to lose"... rjp |
Dear stupid lady,
Please put down the video camera phone, And move to the right lane for 5 seconds. Let the dumbass by. |

ps: It's a carry over from PARF (most of the time) based upon what I've noticed. Llke most, I don't pay them much attention even when I do notice them...just don't care....YMMV. pps: BOTH drivers are equal idiots... |

She was in the process of enforcing the speed limit. There were no trucks blocking her in the right lane, which is clearly evident in the video. She sped up when he went to pass also, or that is certainly what it looks like. She was looking to cause someone some trouble and was successful. Two losers, no winners, hope she gets cited for using her mobile phone while driving. She was every bit as at fault as the one who crashed, or close enough so as to make no difference.

They both should lose the right to drive. Permanently.
|
I looked it up: "Driving and talking on a cell phone is perfectly legal in Florida"
Here she would have been charged. |
Just saw this on Yahoo and the news crew asked about her speeding up. She said that the speed limit just changed and she was just keeping up with traffic. I was not there just telling what I saw in the web. The guy took off before the cops got there, and they caught him two days later because of this video.

Good on her. The guy noticed her filming and hit the brakes to pull back alongside just to prove he was a moron. Then he tried to speed up and cut across her and royally reaped the reward of being a moron.
His hitting the brakes to pull back alonside clearly show he was not in any emergency or hurry. The lady retaining control of her car with a truck spinning out in front of her clearly shows she was competent to hold a camera and drive. I have one handed around in a kart with a handheld camera at race tracks before. No power steering and quite a lot of G force. With power steering, one handed driving doesn't carry as much of a disadvantage. Police officers are frequently driving with one hand while holding a microphone in the other... Glad no one was injured, and hopefully this guy realizes his big phat truck doesn't make him invulnerable to his own stupidity. As for the thread rating - carry over from PARF + this is a porsCHE forum - and the difference between a porsche being driven and a porcupine, is with the porcupine the prick is on the outside. Pricks side with pricks unless the prick is the target of another prick - so when a prick gets owned its gonna get a low rating here. Something about driving and not being able to communicate with other drivers can just bring out the worst in people. While it feels good to watch this dude get owned - I've done moronic things on the road myself. |
She ought to be cited for using her camera in the vertical position when horizontal would have been better.

While IMHO Mr. truck driver was an a$$ and got what he deserved, however shooting video on your phone while driving IN THE RAIN is not a wise decision either. |
