Man Arrested for using a Flame Thrower

I can understand his frustration .........

Fargo Man Arrested For Clearing Snow With Flamethrower | FM Observer Fargo Moorhead News and Entertainment

Fargo, ND – Local resident Todd Fox has been detained for “reckless endangerment” and “illegal use of high-powered fire-breathing weaponry” for attacking snow with his flamethrower. Fox reportedly became so fed up with the week-long blowing snow epidemic in his area that he decided to KILL IT WITH FIRE.

The neighborhood was treated with quite a show last night as Fox unleashed an inferno upon the mountainous snow palace that was his front yard. Neighbors to his immediate right and left noticed a bright orange cloud and could hear what they thought was “puff the magic dragon spewing mayhem all over hell,” which prompted one of them to notify police.

Fox stated that he was simply “fed up with battling the elements” and that he did not possess the willpower necessary to move “four billion tons of white bull ****.”

Police say that Fox surrendered his efforts immediately upon their arrival and that his front yard “looked like a hydrogen bomb had gone off.” They think he was just happy to be done with snow removal, even if it did mean a trip to jail.

I'd bail him out if he'd come and do mine. It's snowing again as I type. Unbelievable.

My guess is there is more to this story being told; a man fed up with snow, yielding a flame-thrower and police arrive on the scene with the place looking like 'Apocalypse Now'...just how rational or what state of mind is he in?

Lots of 'reactions' in life...they seem liked a good idea at the time.

I fail to see the problem.

We once employed similar tactics when dealing with a massive gypsy moth invasion back in 80' or 81'

All you need is one of those silver fire extinguishers, you know the kind they have in HS. You crack it open, drain it, refill with gas then pressurize.

Fairly crude instrument though.

It proved an ineffective method as not only did it destroy the gypsy moth webs but tended to burn the whole tree down as well.

I tried this on a smaller scale with a brush burner and a gas grill propane tank. Fun for 5 minutes, just didn't do much. I can certainly see the allure of a flame thrower.

I'm surprised the Libs on this thread haven't decried the story as "fake news", given the name of the alleged perp.

1) So... how does one procure a flame thrower?

2) How did this guy avoid getting shot when people holding a hose or toy gun get the swiss cheese treatment?

Same general answer, In Fargo, stupid is expected so the response was an all encompassing "damn Todd, we told you to stop thinking?"

Maybe that guy is onto something - LOL. Invent some robot flame thrower. A few years back when those remote control Robosapien's toy robots were the 'rage', hackers were adding flame throwers. Comical to think having little terror robot out on the sidewalk flaming away while you're sitting in the comforts of home.

I just watch "Aliens" with Sigourney Weaver using a flame thrower to roast Alien throat egg laying pods today for the umptienth hundredth time (wow, Aliens part II came out in 1986!!!)

I commented that every man, before he dies should be able to use a flame thrower on something for 5 minutes.

Grill tanks burn off vapor. If the tank was a liquid draw (Green tanks) or turned upside down you would get liquid propane shooting out the end. (not recommended)
