A happy wife is a happy life!....Hawaiian vacation edition.

How true indeed!

We just got back from our annual vacation to Oahu/Kauai but this time our son decided not to tag along...just turned 18...would rather be with his friends...so it was just the wife and I.

Usually with our son we are quite active with SUPing, surfing, deep sea fishing, hiking, and some excursions thrown in there as well, so I'm constantly planning on something to do. But this time I thought, I'm going to totally leave it up to my wife to decide..let her have her way 100%! So most of our days were like this: have a nice slow paced breakfast on the lanai, pick out a beach for the day, lie on said beach and lounge with an occasional swim in there or snorkel, go for a short hike on said beach, read for awhile on said beach, leave sometime around 4pm, go shopping for about an hour or go to the gym for about a half hour, go back to condo and get cleaned up to go out for dinner or have a Mai Tai on the lanai to catch the sunset then prepare supper, have a few more Mai Tais or some wine.......+++, rinse and repeat!

BUT, not to brag or anything, we had the most incredible S*X ! More than we've had in some time! So was it because our son wasn't there or was it because of the happy wife cliche? Have you guys (or gals) had the same experience?

Alex

It's been my experience that the S*X is much more fun when kids aren't around; whether it be on vacation, or at home.

Ah . . . vacation S*X. Warm night, nice digs, exotic locale, just enough wine . . .

We have 2 weeks + of Athens/Crete/Santorini in early June. Yum. Vacation S*X.

My kids were both born in December, nine months earlier, on both times, we were on ski vacations in Aspen and Vail.

Coincidentally, I just found out today that I'll be heading to Hawaii in a couple weeks

Work trip, and I'm only there a few days, so wife won't be coming along. I don't think she'd approve of me having any "vacation sex" in her absence...

Not to cause problems or concern but human gestation is pretty well established to be a 40 week event. Kids can show up early but people usually start counting with test results. I'll politely leave any questions that may follow to others.

Alex the OP is from Alberta.......heck Wyoming or Montana is the tropics.............

Yes thank you for the flash back to Hawaii hammock time.

I prefer the Big Island, but Kauai doesn't exactly suck....

Just back from 10 days. 3 on Oahu and 7 on Hawaii. Only pre-plan was Submarine tour. Great time. Big Island was overcast a lot, even western side.

Ya, we had quite a bit of rain in Princeville (north shore Kauai) but Poipu and Waimea (south shore) was pretty decent.....usually can't go wrong in Hawaii!

Some of the locals called it VOG. It is a haze in the air.

Here is a map of Sunday, which had a lot, but not extreme.

Hawaii is a place everyone at least ONCE in their life should visit.

Makes so many other places in the States and Canada seem positively
chicken-shyte.
