I paid the extra to cover paypal fee's when I bought one of my 944's over the net. Seller wanted a local buyer that he could walk into a bank and complete the transaction to insure safety of receiving his money. He didn't trust Money Orders/Certified checks, so Pay Pal it was...
If some one is intending to sell something locally without the hassle of shipping/long distant payment, I can totally understand asking for the pay pal fees. Personally - outside of my '44's, if I listed something for sale online - I just want to get rid of it, and the $$$ is a bonus, I'd just eat the fees.
