Alfas are cool............

Actually, I worked in an Alfa specialty shop in Atlanta for about 3 years. Spent most of the time building engines.....stock rebuilds, modified street engines and racing engines! If I could put my hands on one of the rare GTCs (GTV convertible) I would be all over that! Alfas are relatively simple to work on and a well built engine will last a long time while be thrashed around. Didn't care much for the SPICA fuel injection, but a set of side draft Webers was a good alternative. We even built a GTV turbo once! It was amazingly fast but difficult to set up correctly. We wound up having to re contour the space cam in the fuel injection to make it run rich enough to avoid detonation. Fun days!

Loan it to me, as I need to file for another provisional patent. I'll double your money when I sell it in 1-2 years.

And the Winner is...................

A 1994 Jaguar XJS convertible w/4.0 six cylinder engine! British racing green with tan interior, new set of Michelin tires, new brakes all around and recently rebuilt front end. 83K miles on the clock. Some pictures..........

Negatives included a broken tail light lens, somewhat worn top and some scuffing on the driver's seat bolster. All relatively small repairs. I believe this should be a fun ride for both me and the mrs.!!

And it's a convertible, so who cares if it won't start when it's raining....

That looks like a fun car.

The owner did not say anything about a repaint so I believe that it is the original color. About as close to a true British Racing Green as I have seen in a while! This won't be a rocket ship, but should make a nice Grand Touring (GT) car.

Like Fred, I would buy me an XJS, a 914, or maybe a well sorted 944.
