That is one amazing kick-ass kitty .. wow!

That dog's either crazy or was teased through the fence. Either way, gotta go.

In honour of this hero cat...........I gave my 2 kiddles, "Banjo" and "Tucker", full blown luxurious flea combings......while they lounged on the targa top atop the teener. :)

Cats can be seriously bad arse. With a domestic dog its one thing but I have yet to see a cat stand up to a Coyote.

Tobra 05-14-2014 08:22 PM

A coyote would eat a cat plenty quick if it were hungry enough, so would a raccoon.

True but a cat is a domestic pet that's been bred primarily to look good.
Their higher intelligence and fight ability has been bred out on purpose so they are more manageable
but that instinct of being a Protective Mother is still there as evident in the video.

A Coyote or Raccoon on the other hand is a wild animal that has evolved naturally over a very long time so it's fully equipped as a fighter and survivor.

Not exactly a fair match ;)

I'm not a cat guy, but damn. I like that cat. I love dogs but damn, I hate that dog.
Cats are impressive when they want to be.

Rickysa 05-15-2014 03:40 AM

I think there might have been a little bit of guardian angle in that kitty :)

My feeling exactly.

When I was a kid living on base there was a pair of Siamese cats that roamed as a pair and picked on dogs. Pets were not supposed to roam free at all. The dogs were in their own fenced yards and the cats would go on patrol and killed a few small dogs. The base commander already told the owner of the cats to remove them from base. I was walking our family bulldog and the Siamese cats thought they would go for him. He killed one in seconds and the other lost its tail. The family had that remaining car removed from base.

That was the most obtuse comment in this entire thread.

"obtuse" = annoyingly insensitive or slow to understand

Did I miss something? I might not be the sharpest guy out there, but I'm not seeing anything "obtuse" about a cat guarding his/her person

One bad ass cat

I think it was a play on the misspelled word "angle" (like acute, right or obtuse angle...)

That cat is awesome. I'm sure the dog's owner is claiming victim - his little angel never hurts anyone, blah blah blah...

Way too many a-hole dog owners out there. Cats don't have owners. ;)

Definitely true about mama cats - very protective. Both I've had have proven fiercely protective of me, even against other cats more than twice their size. They get respect.

:):) well played!

That's funny....my wife's name is Angela and I am always butchering it up whilst typing: Anglea

temperature, nickle, and restaurant have been lifelong struggles to get correct...

vash 05-15-2014 10:42 AM

neither of my cats would have stepped up to that dog.

i LOVE that cat!!! if i was there, i would buy it an entire tuna or something.
