Did anyone see Wheelers Dealers last night? Was about redoing a 993 Targa. It had it's moments.

Yea I saw it. Wow that car was beat to hell. That Ed seems like an amazing mechanic. The Lamborghini uraco episode remains my favorite episode.

I have never seen wheels corrode like that before. No way those were the same wheels at the end. They never mentioned how many miles were on the car I don't think. I do like the 993 Targa's.... Bill | ||

They would have no reason to lie about refinishing the wheels. They always indicate when they spend extra money on new parts etc... I was amazed at how they turned out but I don't doubt they were refinished

I agree with all of you. A lot more work and or parts went into that car that was shown and or talked about on the show.

I really like the show over the years as it is more of a 'home spun' show; very much do-it-yourself instructional series. But lately I see the 'corporate' advertising thing like all the other car shows where some 'company' is showcased with a 'magic' hardware / solution for their 'problem' Kind of obvious when you are installing $5500+ USD worth of track grade struts & springs on a car where the oil wasn't even changed. I'm sure the ride was terrible.

I like the show. One thing I LOVE about it is there is no yelling and fighting. No crazy deadlines, and a lot of different cars. It is cool to see the way so many cars are built. I wish I had a Ed China type of guy living close to me. He would be handy to have around.

But do you ever notice Ed is doing all the work while the other guy just hangs out? That's how it is in real life.

Edd can do it all with little in the way of tools. When you see these newer rust buckets in the UK, it's easier to understand why they are over in the US buying their old cars.
