MonstaLiner, roll on 2 part epoxy bed liner

My new Monsterliner application, its a roll-on 2 part epoxy urethane liner I did to my trailer deck, I chose a dark grey color and the texture looks great.

very interesting product, made in New York, not many people have heard about it.

comes in like 60 different colors.

The stuff is meant to kick fast, so when you're rolling it on, it lifts and you can form a nice texture to it.

not cheap, but good stuff never is...

my 100 square foot of decking took 2 gallons for 2 coats and a primer coat.

Just thought I'd share, a cool new product...

The Land Cruiser crowd has certainly heard of it. They're lining their entire vehicles with this stuff. Might do it myself one day...

Geez Steve... You really think it'd take 10,000 coats to bring it up to noticeable size?

Any way to spray it on? Can think of several uses for it!

I requested some color chips Joe. I want to try to use it for stone guard on the rockers of the 944.

yes you can spray it, but would still have to roll it to raise and get the finish texture.

it comes in quarts too.

dig around on their website, tons of info there, and yes, you can email request 5 free color chips.

Does it require a ventilation system, suit or rebreather? I know that a lot of bodyshops are getting dinged for OSHA reasons because the vapors and skin contact risks.

They also sell the walcom schutz for $51.50,or the cheapo gun for $16.50 .
Extra cans are $3.75.

I don't know if Pelican Parts sell these, but it might be worth having a few on the shelf....
Sell it all as a discount kit: remover, rust fix, undercoat, sprayer, safety gear, instruction manual with PP tech links, etc.

it definitely emitted and out gassed heavily during an outdoor application, I wouldn't do it inside even with protective breathing gear.

I used MEK for clean-up, and they say to use it as a thinner too, so the A/B blended doesn't kick too fast in the can.

And it doesn't come off your skin very easily, and Nitrile gloves start to rip/tear as the product kicks, I went through 4 pair.

Being an epoxy, they are very thorough and specific in their instructions on ambient temperature and humidity for the kick/cure time.

over the phone, they provided great technical support, but their 6 page instruction manual covers pretty much everything you need to know.
