Clippers moving to Seattle!

Probably, anyway. Seems logical.

Wishful thinking, but I really don't believe they will be moving.

Honestly, I think peoples support of the Sonics was pretty tepid when I was there.

But it seems pretty stupid for two teams to share the same arena in LA. Just saying. We'll see what the sports talk guys say for the next couple of days.

I have a bridge for sale if you are interested

Being local we get daily reports on the Clippers.
Most recently is current douche bag Nazi bigot owner will fight not to sell...
Before that there is a loooong line of celebrity billionaires lined up to buy the team.

Maybe you guys could buy the Thunder?

You mean as stupid as not having a NFL team?

Sterling paid 12.5 million in '81 for the team. Not a bad return.

We've got two baseball teams and two NHL teams in the area, within about 40 miles.

Boy did they ever teach Sterling a lesson! He had to sell his team worth about $575 million for $2 billion!

That will teach him!!

Quickest way to turn a $2 billion franchise into a $1 billion franchise? Move it to Seattle.

What biosurfer1 said.

Plus, this whole deal appears to be a long way from over. There are reports on the Web this morning that Shelly Sterling has had old Donald declared "mentally incapacitated" so that she can sell the team to Ballmer. Don't know if that's true, but if it is, it seems reasonable to suspect that there will be many more court filings before any change of ownership will actually take place. The Sterlings are well-known around Lost Angeles for being quick on the draw with their lawyers whenever they have a grievance, so we shall see.

+1... There is no way he'll move the team to Seattle, unless he's looking for some serious losses on his tax returns. The Clippers are better than the Lakers anyways; I don't see this changing in the near future either.

I does seem strange to me that they share the same venue. Here in the Bay Area, the baseball and football teams have a well-defined geographic barrier, namely the bay. Chicago has the north side for the Cubs and the south side for the Sox.

What about LA? Do the Clippers and Laker fans live in different areas? If nothing else, Ballmer could build a new arena to create a geographic demarcation. Would the Clippers in Anaheim make sense?

Lost Angeles is huge, yes we have north, south, east, and west sides but but as far as basketball... no they are both downtown teams.

As you may know the Ducks and Angels are in Anaheim. I suppose the Clippers could move that direction but don't know why the would... they have been sharing the same venue for several years without any problems (AFAIK).
