![]() Over the past few weeks I've replaced a few dry rotted vacuum hoses and put in a new air filter. Took her on a 100 mile trip yesterday around some local backroads and had a blast. Ran great! Very pleased so far, I do plan to upgrade the brake lines to some steel braided pieces and flush the fluid soon as the brakes are just a tad spongey.

I wanted a hatch back when they came out. I still think its the best looking of all the Corollas, or most of the Toyotas of all time

I bought a red one of those new about 27 years ago. Sold it when the wifey got prego and got a minivan. Fun to drive. I remember driving down the backside of Mt. Arrowhead area around the curves with the front wheels opposite locked.

![]() Here's a pic the day after I bought it (before cleaning) I have since cleaned it up a bit, replaced some hoses and also have a set of adjustable camber plates I need to install. Previous owner was running an eBay special HKS clone foam air hooked to the factory pipe (that WD dry rotted) and the filter was so over oiled it had gummed up the throttle body. Cleaned that mess up and replaced it with this new setup by Injen. Doesn't really do much in the way of performance of curse but certainly looks better and done away with that previous mess. ![]()
