Good kids don't just happen. Sounds like ya did a good job raising him, Dan. Lucky kid to have dad's Porsche to occasionally putz around in. I was absolutely STOKED to get my piece of crap Datsun B210 when I was 16. Dad brought it home one day and said, "You owe me $800."

![]() From your last post, he sounds like a great young man. Not an easy thing to pull off these days. Kudos. I don't know if your son likes trucks, but I gave my son my 1999 Tacoma when he turned 16 and I think they are the perfect ride for young men.

I agree, Paul. I want to get my stepson an old truck, like a Chevy Luv, old SMALL Nissan or Toyota pickup...but he's got his heart set on a hatchback, for some reason. Been looking around for a somewhat decent CRX or something similar.

Paul & Guy,
Thanks for the kudos. He is a good kid and growing up to be a better young adult. He has his moments as we all do. As a family we tend to keep things honest and in the open and take responsibility for our actions. Something my dad impressed on me. As for a truck, we have looked at a few but he seems to be set on a hatch back of some sort or a cross over. Plus he has two younger siblings who he would need to be able to take on occasion places. Since he has some skin in the game I am letting him lead on this one. Thanks again
