Toyota can't be feeling warm and fuzzy right now...

With about 1/3 of a second difference between pole position and 2nd on grid(with Toyota completing 37 Laps to Porsche's 15), credit due to Toyota being on pole, but with so many red/yellow flags, we didn't get to see the real fireworks at the end of the last qualifying session.

It would appear the last 'balance of performance' setting(70lbs of ballast and intake restriction) has aptly hamstrung the 991 RSR's. They may finish podium, but the race will have to come to them to win.

I can see how Viper is not at Le Mans this year, considering an 8.0L engine is about 2.5L larger than current rules allow...did GM get some sort of waiver for the C-7, as I don't believe they are running a V-8 of 5.5L or below.

Corvette is running the same engine as the C6R, which was a 5.5L. Ever since they switched from GT1 they have had the 5.5L. I think it is just the 427 de-stroked.

I'm sure Toyota isn't the least bit worried. They've already beat the Porsche and won back-to back in this years first 2 races...6 hours of Silverstone and 6 Hours of Spa.

Racecar Engineering reported that Corvette has received a substantial waiver to be here this year. It is most definitely not an ACO legal car. However in the spirit of the race and due to the long history here, they have been invited back to participate. They did receive BOP adjustments - am trying to find some details.

I think that may be referring to using lthe old engine, as Porsche did (and still does?)
