Here ya go...
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1405715456.jpg Oh... You said king of BEERS... Never mind! |
Vash,
Don't listen to the snobs. I am a big Bud Light fan in certain situations. On the boat, sitting by the pool, LSU football tailgating. It just doesn't make sense to drink a double IPA when I am going to be drinking for 12+ hrs. Also, I have even downgraded a bit not because of price but just because I like the taste of PBR. Plus.. it won a blue ribbon! I am just as much about the biggest beer snob you will ever meet. But just like any other beverages certain ones are more fitting for different occasions. I will gladly sit down and enjoy a potent, punch in the face from a Stone Ruin, a cool and refreshing kolsch on a hot summer day, and a porter during the winter. I will never scoff or look down at someone for drinking what they like. That's the point of beer. Drink what YOU like and everything is fine. |

I prefer Zima.
|
I like Budweiser and tonite I will tip a few back. If anybody wants to bring over some 15$ a six pack beer that's fine. I will take a 10$ leak.
|
I have tried Bud but this is my favourite ;)
and yes... All beers taste better after some hard work. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1405717253.jpg |
1. free beer
2. fancy beer 3. full strength bud beer 4. warm beer 5. no beer Its right in the middle of my highly technical beer hierarchy above, so its not too bad |
I'm this close to putting down my appletini and giving you all a stern talking to!
|
I'm no beer snob, but Bud used to give me the WORST hangovers. I could drink a half of bottle of jim beam, smoke two packs of cigarettes, inhale exhaust fumes , and do blow all night long, , and still feel better the next morning than if I had 6 or 7 Budweisers.

I think the distinctive flavor of bud comes from beech wood... much like having oak flavor in your wine... not necessarily good or bad just some people like it or not. YMMV |
Lol I remember busting out a couple of Sierra Nevadas at the summit of Mount Whitney. That got some strange looks but damn was it ever good after hiking balls to the wall for 8+ hours with your heart racing and the altitude. It was mystical and the best damn buzz I've ever had. I actually gave two other ones away - if I'd drunk them I'd have been spending the night up there! The guys I have them to were really appreciative too, when I saw them looking enviously at me having one of mine I swear I could've probably sold them for $100 each!
|
I like Bud. It's really not that bad a beer.
Used to be into the micro-craft brews but I'm not a fan of hoppy beers these days. I'll take a Pilsner over an IPA any day. Funny thing is, when my friends / family come from Germany for a visit all they drink is Corona and Rolling Rock while they are here. One of them even owns a Biergarten in Stuttgart. |

I bought a 6 pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon once and tossed out 5-3/4 beers.
|
Wasn't there a thread a couple of years ago reminiscing about all the old beers?
I mean really old...like no longer brewed. Still making Pabst? |
Pabst still being made.
My old favs are Utica Club, Gibbons and Piels. |
PBR is having a huge comeback among hipsters... some sort of anti microbrew movement.
As long as no one holds me down and tries to pour a Bud or PBR down my throat I don't give a flying fruit what you drink. Heck, I like sushi... tell people that and they give you all kind of attitude. Hey, I like raw fish, I'm not asking you to eat it! (More for me) :p |
I like hoppy beers, so I don't typically do Bud, Coors, or Miller regular drafts. However, when I'm just looking for some cool, refreshing beer, any one of those lites are just fine by me.
