The plane was clearly blown out of the sky. You can see that large chunks of it have landed far from the crash site.
Can't wait to see the response from the Boy Scout in Chief.

Somebody has finally given a gun to that monkey...
At 33,000 feet, it may have taken a bit more wherewithall to figure out what it was than to shoot it down. Now that these tiny little pissant rebel factions all over the world have acquired these kinds of weapons, this should come as no surprise. They do not have the training, nor probably the equipment, to discern what they are shooting at at the ranges they are now capable of engaging. There could be no possible strategic reason for them to have done this on purpose. I think someone is thinking "oh shi...." right about now.

The wreckage has already been looted, so any intel on the cause is probably gone.
That's even ASSuMING some expertise could be allowed unfettered access to a war zone to investigate. What a mess. |

AP has reported that they saw rebel units with BUK missile systems. rebels have claimed they shot down two different Ukrainian fighter jets.
