I think giving people a strong financial incentive to drive safely is a great idea. I don't know how you would implement it with multiple insurance companies, and I don't like the idea of a only single insurance company to choose from.

Insurance in and of itself is socialization of risk. We just feel superior because we get to pay big rates to keep all the blue suits dressed nicely.

Back from the insurance adjuster.......they are replacing the box side (internal structure damage).
The total damage is $4966.57 (taxes in)

Wow!
It is pretty easy to remove those fender skins. Edit: The price is about right for that amount of work. I was trying to say that it is easier to re skin that fender rather than try to repair it. Cheers!
