data shows that gen Y is safer, more moral and improving the world
|
That'll rile up the old farts.
|
I'm right at the tip of Gen Y. Safety has never been at the forefront of my mind with most things I've done ;)

 What? More moral than Woodstock and the Sexual Revolution? Say it isn't so  |
I know some people here are going to whine and ***** about how better things were when Chester A. Arthur was president.

I will ask however, given the stats, how they are improving the world from their parents basement:D |

Ha! I doubt I'll see a more perfect comment this month. |
More unemployed, smoking more dope, up 38% and I'm supposed to be impressed?
|

Yeah, they want to take over the house above the basement. And if the VA can sit and wait, they can wait. |

it's an excuse for being Eunuchs when compared to previous generations. Gen Y "cares" Oh boy, what a contribution
Maybe soon 3M will be putting out products that say things on the label: "Imperial Hand Glaze- use product their and sparengly. Polish to grate shine.." Gen Y in action - yeah buddy! rjp |
The whole generation "cares" by *****ing about it on FB....
Maybe attending a ****ing rally about 1%'ers. Ya, that's great, effective too. |

Hard to argue against the data when you have stunning examples such as this...

More like generation do nothing.
How do you know that you are having fun unless you are getting into trouble? All kidding aside that Shenanigans cart just blows my mind. The one thing up, even more so. |
pretty typical responses all in all. lol.
i love this video too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4IjTUxZORE |

Look around, beyond the cell... so much infrastructure provided by generations before. Even enough technical infrastructure to make easy work of the production a sarcastic video focused on why the earlier gens didn't do enough for the current. Ha! |
Yeah, right. damn kids with your twitterbooks and facespaces
In my day, things were better: I remember taking the ferry into shelbyville, I was wearing an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time, but you could only get yellow onions because of the war, anyways the ferry cost a nickle, which had pictures of bumble bees on them, 5 bees for a quarter you would say, anyways, I think it was back in nineteen dickety six, you had to say "dickety" because the Kasier stole our word for "twenty", I chased him, but gave up after dickety six miles.... |

what happened to that infrastructure when the boomers were in charge? oh, yeah, its falling to garbage. because you refuse to pay to fix it, and when we, the millennials, would like to fix it, you call us socialists. |
There's no app for fixing roads. Just sayin'.

Looked like a bunch of Mexican guys fixing the road I was on this morning. They didn't look much like a millennial but I could be mistaken. The tax money being used to pay them was probably boomer taxes as the millennials haven't been able to get jobs.

Yeah, they're boinking their way to success and smoking legal pot now.
Me thinks the standards have been lowered like they have been for politician's behavior! :D Heard the old saying, "figures lie and liars figure", lots of examples of that today. Does the Y gen include gang members across the country and those operating meth labs? |
Thing is, most of those road fixing jobs are paid far higher than minimum wage, especially if they're city/state workers.
Now, I AM pointing fingers at Gen Yers (I'm one of them). Most of the ones I know are lazy as ****. They want office jobs, computer jobs, etc. Even the ones who failed out of college; they still expect some executive level job to be given to them. Labor work is not something that is in their nature. I'm glad I grew up the way I did. I did labor jobs as a kid (yard work, odd jobs for dad's friends like pouring concrete, roofing, working on a golf course, etc). Now, I have an exec-type job, and it bores me; I'd rather be working with my hands out in the sun. |
so what we have here...
Is a bunch of old guys whining on the internet... About young people whining on the internet? Just sayin :p ;) |
Quote:
yup. |
You have to leave mom's basement, get a job in order to do anything. *****ing about it on FB doesn't count was doing anything.

I mean, for example, you guys think that Obamacare funding isn't aimed to be coming out of your hide. That is naivety right thar. |
Quote:
nope.jpg i think you must mean "letting the USAs economic and intellectual infrastructure crumble" as your generations contribution to our society. something we, would very much like to fix. and then you call us idiots and socialists for wanting to fix it. all while trying to take credit for infrastructure as a good thing, and something you built (you didn't). LOL |
Taking bets - how many more posts before this descends to PARF?
Place yer bets, gents. |
In before PARF!
|
I think it runs more along the lines of Gen Y-ers are more apt to toot their own horn and parade around after doing a mediocre job. Sorta like getting trophies even though you came in last place.
