45, is that one big or special? I didn't know. I'm turning 44 in a week and a half. Half of the time I still feel like a kid.

On some birthdays it is a weekend so I don't have to go to my paying job. I always have projects at home.

This year is going to be pretty cool. I bought my first Porsche shortly before I turned 29. This year, the missus and I are down sizing, so the day of my birthday we will be picking up the keys to our new apt in town, and the Mon before my b-day, I will be picking up my new to me Porsche, 2008 Boxster RS60 Spyder #99 of 1960.

None of that was planned to correspond to my b-day. It just worked out that way. I'm ok with that.

37th Birthday present to myself (two weeks ago). Cheap, 4x4, 5 speed, ice cold air. Got it down in Ashland. I immediately took it off roading. Brush bar and roof racks are currently under construction.

I generally don't do too much on my birthdays (i'm 49). Most of the time, my family will get together and go out to dinner somewhere Mexican and have a few beers and just relax for a change.

If your mother is still alive send her some floweres.

If your dad is still alive take him out for a few beers and cigars.

Go online and read the news of what was happening in august 1969.
