Don't fight with marines
It's not likely to end well. But at least it won't take up too much of your time
Guy Tries to Have a Marine Fight , Quickly Finds Out Why That's a Bad Idea

Correct me if I'm wrong but that was no Marine. That windmill, flailing chit would relegate him to another round of basic training.

That was not a Marine, no way.
ROTC maybe, if that were a genuine Jarhead, that fight would have been a LOT shorter.

Ha, it will teach that posturing little idiot a lesson.
A punch from a big guy is like being kicked by a horse. I don't think the big guy was a great fighter, but one punch would stupefy the little guy a a few more punches to make things perfectly clear to him. |

I don't believe a Marine would get involved in something like this, let alone be filmed doing it.
I did a bit of boxing back in the day and sparred with a Marine friend once. Got my ass handed to me in no time and he wasnt even putting forth any effort. The guy in the video got a lucky shot.

I was in the USMC 40+ years ago. They don't teach you to box/fist fight, they teach you how to kill.
It isn't about kicking the guys ass, its about killing him (War, right?). Nothing in Parris Island for boot camp or Camp Lejeune for advanced training on "fighting". It was all about killing. Hand-to-hand was a hit to the windpipe or gouging out an eye, if it had to come to that. It was more about a K-bar knife to the heart, kidneys, liver, spinal cord at the neck, etc. Google "naked strangle hold". You get behind someone, wrap your right arm around their neck from behind, lock your left and right hands in a clasp and drop you and him flat on the ground, you WILL break his neck. Doesn't matter if you're 150 lbs and he's 250 lbs. He will be dead, as long as you can drop both of you to the ground. War is ugly business. I for one am glad that there are Marines, and others, who do the ugly business that most people can't imagine from their comfortable armchairs watching the evening news and being Monday morning quarterbacks. Semper Fi my friend. Yeah for me it was 40+ years ago. Things change. Again, it goes to not fighting the enemy, but killing them. I doubt that mantra has changed much.

That's not a fight, that's one huge guy beating up some stupid little guy.

First off, there is not necessarily any correlation between being in the USMC and being a great fist fighter other than the fact that they are generally in great physical condition and mentally tough. There are millions of tough guys who are not in the Marines and there are plenty of Marines who are brave and great war fighters but not big physical brutes.
As for that encounter, the big guy seemed to be connecting pretty well to me, his punches were all landing. The black kid might not have been tough at all and we don't even know the genesis of the fight from that video. Typical internet garbage. ![]()

I had the sound off, looked like the guy on the right was the aggressor by coming over and hitting the guy without a shirt.
He might be facing criminal and civil charges if this wasn't some staged show.

Coming from a loud mouthed runt, no one is surprised that you would side with another loud mouth runt.

I would add, don't square up with a guy 3 times your size since usually that won't end well.
*little guy never had a chance to square up, too slow. |
