We just rented a Fusion for vacation. Both Mrs. Noah and I liked it. Maybe not enough to buy one, but we were really pleased with it as a rental. It was able to carry 2 adults and 3 kids (one in a space-robbing infant seat, no less). The Ecobbost motor is peppy, though we both lamented how trying to accelerate quickly (i.e. from a turn onto a larger road with flowing traffic) would leave us with a moment of hesitation followed by a jerk of acceleration. The turn signals took a little getting used to. Otherwise we liked it. Interior materials, fit-n-finish, and look were nice. AC blew cold. Ergos were fine.

We rented a Ford Fusion for a long weekend with a lot of driving. I was pleasantly surprised. We were 4 adults with two that qualify as somewhat "fluffy". We found it quiet, comfortable, good on gas, and reasonably quick. Quick enough for my co-driver to pick up a speeding ticket. Oops!

I still prefer our Lexus for all around quality experience but they are a lot more $$.

We have a 2013 with the bigger engine and ecotech (turbo), also pearl white (great color). Front wheel drive. Sport package with paddle shifters. Full leather, and lots of bells and whistles. Surprisingly affordable, drives great, looks great, shifts with the paddle are as quick and snappy as my tip boxster. Also, fits 5 adults comfortable. lots of trunk room too. Great value especially for the price.

Agreed - and if they'd bring the wagon over from Europe paired with a stick - I'd be at my Mazda dealer trading in my 3 tomorrow.
