The only thing I eat with ketchup is fried egg sandwiches on white bread.

Amateurs.

Omuraisu (rice omelette) is the quintessential ketchup delivery system.

Step 1: Make fried rice to your taste
Step 2: Before removing fried rice from pan, stir in a generous helping of ketchup. Then spoon a heap of the rice onto a plate.
Step 3: Fry a lightly-beaten egg into a thin sheet. Flip the fried egg on top of the rice pile.
Step 4: Squirt more ketchup onto egg.
Step 5: Enjoy ketchupy goodness. A spoon works best, IMHO.

I make my own ketchup. The only thing available at the supermarket that deserves the name is called Del Monte Chili Sauce. It isn't remotely like chili sauce. It is what ketchup ought to be.

I prefer my tomato products in spaghetti, pizza, or bloody marys... I'll skip the ketchup

Paul, potato was simply a generic term covering everything imaginable you could do with a potato. From dipping potato chips in ketchup to taking leftover half-eaten baked potatoes, flattening and griddling in a lot of butter until they form a crust on each side, and everything in between, potatoes convey ketchup best.

Everything. I love ketchup. Actually I am a saucy person. My refrigerator is half full of sauces and marinades.

And that fried rice omelette thingy sounds delish!

I voted potato, but the more I think about it, I think my answer should have been meat. I almost always want ketchup on a hamburger or hotdog, and even upon occasion put it on a braunschweiger sandwich (left over from childhood). I don't always use ketchup with potatoes, these days, I may use ketchup or ranch or mustard or miracle whip (usually for tater tots).

LOL!!
"What is your favorite color?"
"Blue. No wait ... "

When I was a kid I always poured ketchup into ham and bean soup. It disgusted my mother.
