Stop the madness!
A very expensive 911. OK, a '64 is uber rare, but still...

My 85 Carrera is for sale for just $250,000.
So far no one has made any real offers to buy it for some reason. I might drop it to $240,000

Wow. And it's in the Netherlands so that is Euros, I suspect.

At that price, are you buying a car or has it become something else? High stakes gambling?

Prices are completely out of hand. I should have Annie back on the road in 2015 but the ridiculous value will take some of the fun out of it. Always will have to look over my shoulder.

There were some seriously crusty '80-'88 SC or Carerra examples at Lime Rock this past weekend, without redeeming uniqueness, all $22k and higher.
And I mean crusty... In comparison, mine should be at $35, which in my mind is just not realistic. And the guy that was basically pleading with me to buy my 6/7 original Fuchs...priceless ![]()

Notice the last line in the ad states: "Will make for a valuable piece of history in any (Porsche) collection".
They're not for driving anymore, only something to add to your collection. I hope I don't see Barry Meguiar pointing at someone's museum specimen 911, blathering on about how "everybody can enjoy these wonderful cars".
