Any way to save videos on ipod touch 3?
I have been doing an hour of cardio on the stair stepper at the gym (YMCA). It has a TV on it which is great but I go at 5 am and viewing choices are limited. I am at the point where watching the local news over and over and the Antiques Roadshow is just not cutting it.
I needed something to help pass the time so I decide to move into a bit of a modern times with purchasing an older ipod on ebay. It is an ipod touch 3-32 GB or something like that. Its operating system is 5.1.1. It can only connect to WiFi. The YMCA has no WiFi. I was hoping to save videos onto the ipod to watch while I am on the stair stepper. I watched a video on youtube on how to do this-got camera roll and titan player. When I tried to save a youtube video on the ipod, it said youtube videos are copyrighted.... Is there a way so save videos either from youtube, netflix, or HBO go on this type of ipod?? Thanks in Advance, signed: Technology inept in Michigan

You would need to save source files on a computer then transcode to a format ios can play then transfer via itunes to your device.

Basically use some free software to save vid from YouTube. Convert to . MP4 if saved as a .flv file - another piece of free software Import via iTunes and save on pod. |

There is freeware to save Netflix and HBOGO as well.
Probably will save in real time though. |
