Notice any NFL changes this year? Hmmmmm

I've noticed a big change this year after watching a few games. ALL the WOMEN on the sidelines and in the booth. Could this be because the holy grail NFL is now feeling sorry for all the female incidents that have happened this year and last? Gee, lets make them feel good about us and our game. What a charade; it's all about the money. Thoughts.

I think the NFL has been courting female fans(viewers) for several years.
They represent approx. 40+% of fans currently and have the greatest upside for growth.

NFL may be the most venal of the leagues. The most thuggish, criminal player behavior off the field. The most on-field violence. The most abuse of the players by the league, from brief crippling careers to a lifetime of mental damage. A decade long cover-up of brain injury data. Still no HGH testing. And its championship game, the Super Bowl, sucks far more often than it doesn't.

I'm losing interest. What I thought was a great sack last thursday was a 15 yd penalty, too rough. Then in the SF game yesterday there was a penalty for inappropriate language. I'm all for safety but the game has changed and in a way I'm not fond of.

I am with you. The penalties are ruining the game. You can't hit the quarterback high, can't hit him low and now you can't hit them in the middle.

I'm blessed to have a wife that does not enjoy sports. I can watch NFL and Formula 1 with my friends and she has no interest in keeping me around to watch with her.

I have friends who's wife come to every Porsche club race. Unless it's Laguna Seca, my wife just says..."See you Monday. Don't hit anybody baby".

Different strokes for different folks. We're at opposite ends of the spectrum, in the middle is the controlling b!t$h that watches reality TV during MNF and won't let you go out with your buddies.

I'm fortunate that my wife has always been able to hang with my friends, she can dish it out just as well as they can. Mine is pretty indifferent towards racing so it's usually a guy affair, but she'd be disappointed if she missed out on a good football or basketball game.
