It is funny you mentioned cost. If you look again at the picture below you can see all the stone work around the trees, which is extensive. He also put many tons of large rock strategically in front of the wooden seawall which runs the length of my property.

He didn't want money, he wanted a 10x200 foot piece of property on the right side of my farm, adjacent to his. That gave him 10 feet of beach and room for other stuff.

Done deal!

Thank you, Sir. I will tell you, twenty years ago when we bought the place it was a complete dump. I learned a lot about a lot of things I was clueless about. While we got a great price on the place due to a long running divorce and the condition of the farm, I was so far over my head I was looking up at the well diggers a$$.

But you press forward.

All the fields were long term fallow, all the ditch line you see were filled with vines and trees and trash.

Lots of stories. I spent the first three years here clearing and burning...that's why I had my tongue firmed planted in my cheek concerning my "problems" now.

The only easy day was yesterday!

to qualify as a real first world problem you need to ***** about not being able to sync your dock to iTunes.

Must have been some storm. The boat house and servant's quarters were utterly destroyed.

How long does it take for the servants to hitch the carriage for you to get from the main house to the dock?

Nice place. I'm not a bit envious!

Pauls place is a real slice of heaven. Beth and I spent the weekend with Paul last summer and having a cup of coffee out at the seawall before the dawn was up was a calm that you could feel. I saw my first Bald Eagle in the wild there.
