I read a comment on UKDailyMail that Australia is revoking passports of guys like these so they can't get back into the country. Great game plan if that is the case.
It will certainly make things easier if this delightful family get airstriked or something like that and it becomes end of subject regarding them, instead of the usual human rights stuff we have to listen to. I feel for you guys having that hotbed of hatred going on in West Sydney/Parramatta. It sure would be easier if they all moved to Syria and stayed there. |

It's not just in Sydney sadly. It's happening in every major city in every Western Nation. They are creating their own little enclaves which are growing rapidly.

Ummm ... not funny
On the news tonight "dad" is top of Australia's most wanted list. Quite happy to see him exterminated, but that won't solve the problem down the track when junior and his two young brothers follow in dad's footsteps, but in our own communities.

Honestly now... You're not buying into their BS are you?
Right now the federal Government along with ASIO and the Federal Police are very busy serving warrants and closing down business that support ISIS. As far as the "West Sydney/Parramatta" thing. That's been going on a long time and it's being dealt with. Their own community leaders work closely with the police to fight crime. It's not a perfect situation but it is being managed. As for the people returning after fighting with ISIS. (Assuming they ever come back) .... They will get an interesting reception. In a way ISIS have done Australia a favour with their extreme tactics, behaviour and trying to recruit locals. Our law makers will have no problems getting new laws enacted to deal with these idiots. Believe me no one will stand up for "their" rights. lol

Sorry I don't know what you mean.
My post (months ago) was about the problem you guys have, and my post this evening was just saying "I was right." And yes, it was a well managed situation, by the authorities, in nailing these guys before they did what they intended to do. |

There will always be someone who wants to protest about an arrests.
I wouldn't worry about it. The police are pulling lots of overtime right now ![]() It's getting more interesting. As we wake up each morning more and more arrests would have happened overnight. And there are real links to active ISIS members in Iraq. That equals Decades in Australian prisons for some already in custody. The beheading videos were certainly effective. ![]() This ISIS mob could turn out to be the most ineptly lead group in recorded history!

I've read of similar stuff all over Europe as well. (not father son, but previously unaffiliated, folks that weren't muslim or zealous types converting and going to fight. I don't really get it.

Religion has always appealed to those whose lives seem fruitless and without hope or meaning. As governments continue to fail to create systems where people can obtain decent educations, attain employment, meaningfully advance in their careers, obtain professional fulfillment, provide comfortable homes for their families, etc. there will be ranks of dissatisfied, demoralized, angry individuals eager to latch onto something that makes them feel good about themselves and that their lives have (or could have) some purpose.
The greatest enemies of religious zealotry are rationality (historically deriving from education, questionably so today) and prosperity (deriving from education, opportunity for upward mobility, etc.) It is interesting to note that the "equal poverty for all" model of socialism / statism will only serve to swell the ranks of the dissatisfied and therefore the ranks of those willing to throw their lots in with Islam / jihad.

Religion (to me) really is just an excuse. As POP said....there's little opportunity for many people (or as they see it). This is similar to the gang bangers joining gangs for belonging.

That can't be the whole story though. The promise has to be sold and sold well.
I don't understand lack of hope in Australia. Our country is setup for young people to succeed.
