I must have the wrong kind of microwave because I just tried this at 23% battery life and it only went to 26% after 60 seconds. 200 seconds it only went to 31%.

I just upgraded to 8. Nothing exploded. I'm bummed that my iPad doesn't have the "Wave" charging system built in!

I'll be buying Swype later today.

There's your problem - from 200 seconds to 300 seconds the turbo kicks in. Now, be careful, on some tests the phone has charged up too quickly, spun out of control and hit the microwave wall... causing some disgruntled users to label this feature 'the widow maker'.

I guess good timing for having broken up with my gf. She'll be happy.

Downloaded as soon as it was available. Took a long time to download and install, but I believe it was well worth it. My iPhone 5S is running better than ever and I really like the improvements.

I'm looking forward to Handoff with Yosemite - I do this all the time, start a task on my phone that would be better on my laptop. Also being able to answer a call on my computer using my wireless headphone (one less thing on my desk). I updated the Medical ID that's accessible from the emergency screen, I like that idea too.

You're not supposed to put metal in the science oven.

That was a good movie! It held it in my hands to protect it. Maybe that's why it didn't charge very well.

Took about 40 minutes start to finish. I'm already liking some of the changes. Especially using voice typing.

I tried the microwave thing to charge my phone and all I got was a flurry of sparks and a really bad smell after 10 seconds. I figured that the system was purging (like what SeaFoam does to a carb) so I kept it in for 230 seconds. I didn't want to do the full 300 to be on the safe side.

Seems to be ok. I figure after the charging I would let it breath for awhile so I haven't tried to do anything with it. I haven't gotten any calls yet to test it and it seems like the emails have really slowed down. Maybe because its Friday and folks are gearing up for the weekend? Maybe because its lunch time?

Anyway, thanks for the tip Shaun!

Should we use the cook or the re-heat setting?

Popcorn setting. Use the bag setting that matches your screen size. Ex: 3.5 oz bag of popcorn setting for a phone with a 3.5 in screen. It's finished charging when you have a 2 second lapse in ring tones going off.

iOS 8 Who has it?

Just punch the "potato" button twice. Worked for me on the 5s (the "s" is for "SMOKIN' fast"!!!)
