Agree. I better hurry and buy that ball cap. |
I will say that Aioki play in right field last night that caught Posey at home was friggin textbook. Beautiful, fluid motion getting every bit of his momentum working for him......made Posey (or more correctly the 3rd base coach) look like a fool for even trying to get home. Neither was a fool...it's just that Aioki played the ball SO perfectly.
|
The ball took a perfect bounce off the wall too.

Could be 3

True, they might just finish up in SF. That play where they got Posey at the plate was just luck. Perfect bounce followed by an excellent throw. You have to be aggressive on the bases, sometimes it costs you, sometimes it forces an error.
Speaking of errrors, I would have called that one the Panda hit off the third baseman's glove an error, not a hit. |
It's not over yet!
|
kc came to play tonight!! I hope for 7 games...I hate October ball to end:)
|
That's a little more like the baseball we've been watching here in KC for the last couple months!
|
Love theach competition . Great game Royals!

Could still be 4 but they surely showed up to play last night!
Can't get over how young that pitcher looks. On another note there is some great ready about Pence and how crazy he seems to be. Neat character. |
I loved watching Pence when he was here with the Astros. He seems to be a genuine person and I respect his hustle on the field. As an added bonus do a search for Hunter Pence girlfriends, he was hooked up with a few different bikini models while here in Houston.
Cmon game seven and then a Royals win. |

I am obviously a huge Royals fan, but After watching Pence bust his butt down the line last night after he struck out I'm now a fan. After the game when espn was interviewing him he didn't make any excuses he just talked about what a great time he was having playing in "that" atmosphere. You could really tell he loves baseball.
|
Late in the clinching game against the Cardinals, when it was tied, Pence got a meeting together among the three outfielders during a pitching change. He gave a pep talk, and said one of the three was going to win it in the ninth with a home run. Ishikawa proved him right.
Well, I said I want a 7-game series, since the other two recent Giants WS wins went 4-1 and 4-0 and were kind of boring. Bring it! KC is pretty good. |
Looking forward to enjoying Game 4 live in SF... I got my tickets the old fashioned way, married into a family with season tickets :D

Well that got out of hand quick!

We were rooting on the Giants until we saw Finnegan throw last night. Sure it didn't work out for him tonight...but dang he's 21. You go kid!
Ok so I lied. I am still rooting the Giants, wife is non committal. We hope to see Finnegan for years to come. Well I have also been a huge fan of 'The Freak' (Lincecum), I like the guys who bend the stereotype. I think his career is coming to a close for physical reasons. Love his moxy none the less. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/vZAtKSpDi7s" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
No kidding
I quit watching baseball when they cancelled the World Series due to greed about 20 years ago. About 4 years ago, the Giants won it the day before my son's twin daughters were born. Went to the birthday party today. You would not expect the logistics to work out well at a make your own pizza party for 16 four year olds, but it went surprisingly smoothly. Capelli's in Roseville, if you are interested. The son and his wife are Giants and 49er fans, one of the kiddoes is named after the catcher, no seriously. I went to a game this season with my folks, just to check out the new ball yard, magnificent. I did not try the sushi. Went over to my parents house for game one of the Series, and have watched it since. Been some really good games so far, with more to come. It was funny when that pitcher Vargas thought the count was 3-2 when it was 2-2 and he started to run down to first. That catcher for the Royals is amazing, and they have some fine pitching. Posey and the Giant's pitching are pretty good too though. That kid Pence runs like a deer. It ought to really be something. Go to the games, don't sell the tickets You can always get more money. Those once in a lifetime type experiences, well, they don't call them that by mistake. Who would you go to the game with, if it is your kid, dad or something, I could not sell the tickets. |
Both catchers seem flawless.
'Zoom' has a bad rap in Baltimore but holy crap what a catch in CF last night! And how about the panda. Guy is unreal particularly for his size. |
I suppose the bright side of last night's game was that I got to bed earlier than usual. I'd really like to see the Royals go back to KC with the series lead, but SF is putting up a great fight. This has been a really entertaining World Series to watch.
|
Not looking good thus far for Royals fans. Bumgarner is lights out, Shields is just ok, and the overall team looks off. Multiple missed opportunities for catches, missed throws, and Bumgarner is making them look pretty silly.
|
He's a great pitcher and we're playing right into him. We've had 7 hitters Ewing at the first pitch tonight you just can't do that against a guy like that. As they say Just gotta tip your cap to him.
|
SF has looked like the better team in every way for the last two games. The Royals seem to have lost their way. What happened to the steal, bunt, sac fly, fundamental baseball approach? Suddenly they're swinging for the fences with a team full of slap hitters.
|
Most of the guys on SF have been here once or twice. They know you don't have to hit homeruns to win rings...apparently the Royals didn't get the message.

I agree, I think the Royals need to go back to what got them in the Series. Last night was just painful to watch.
|
KC didn't small ball their way past the O's. They did it with pitching and outrageous fielding. And a bit of luck on blooper hits that were a result of misreading the pitch, not purposely adjusting swing.

That, and probably by a spambot

I'd say the Royals are off to a good start.

Talk about meltdown.

Holy crap what is going on!!!!
Gonna be one heck of a game 7!!! Merry Christmas KC! |
Game 7, can't wait!
