I did some mining, since I had a super-fast set of SLI'd video cards with plenty of down-time. I made a grand total of $128.82. I decided that mining bitcoin was not for me. All the mining that was done in the first few years? Those guys are cashing in.

I've seen it discussed on a gold/silver forum. Didn't seem to be the target audience.
And no one has wanted to pawn any or asked if I had some for sale. Jim

i totally get that the heyday of mining is long past. however, i have learned a LOT about currency and i find the whole thing fascinating. i am nowhere near breaking even on the specialized ASIC mining hardware, but i haven't lost money, either. i've been able to upgrade the miners by selling the old ones for more or the same than what i paid for them.
the current miner is the 'new' r-box miner. it is capable of much higher difficulty, so it is more efficient. we'll see what happens. ![]()
