Band names with EBOLA in the title
It had to happen. I guess. I've been thinking of searching this for a couple of weeks.
I'm sure there are a lot more that haven't shown up yet... or been fully formed. "Looking for experienced punk-influenced death core drummer," etc. I only found two... both have been around awhile. _______________ Ebola (อีโบล่า) is a Thai rock band from Bangkok, Thailand, currently signed to Warner Music. The band is known for combining lyrics with hard rock-oriented tunes. Most of Ebola's lyrics focus on hope, encouragement, and soul-searching. The band’s hit singles include "Saeng Sawang" (แสงสว่าง - Enlighten),"Klab Su Jud Reum Ton" (กลับสู่จุดเริ่มต้น - Back to Beginning) and "Sing Tee Chan Pen" (สิ่งที่ฉันเป็น - As I Am). In 2005, Ebola’s fourth studio album, Enlighten, won Best Rock Album from Hamburger magazine and Best Producer from the Seed Awards. Ebola was formed in 1996 by a young rock quintet while they were studying at Dhonburi Rajabhat University. They spent years performing under the name Ebola, mainly as an underground band. -This article is being considered for deletion in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebola_%28band%29 _______________ Bobby Joe Ebola and the Children MacNuggits (also known as Bobby Joe Ebola) are an American acoustic folk-rock duo from Pinole, California. Formed in 1995, the traditional incarnation of the band consists of vocalist Corbett Redford III and guitarist/vocalist Dan Abbott. The duo is often joined onstage and in the studio by numerous musicians and friends for full band stage performances and recordings. Early performances featured occasional backup vocals from John Geek, also singer for Fleshies. Both Abbott, Redford and Geek were founding members of the indie label S.P.A.M. Records, and co-organizers of Geekfest, a series of free all-ages music festivals held in the late 1990s, begun largely in response to the band's rejection from a then insular East Bay punk scene centered on 924 Gilman. Bobby Joe Ebola and the Children MacNuggits first formed in 1995, when Corbett Redford, in an attempt to impress a girl, lied that he had a band that could play in lieu of another band cancelling their performance at the girl's birthday party. The girl called his bluff and told him his band could perform at her party. Redford then called Abbott, who he had met when they were both attending Pinole Valley High School, and asked him if he would like to start a band. Abbott agreed and the band was formed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Joe_Ebola_and_the_Children_MacNuggits And now from a human interest angle for the fans: Can You Contract Ebola at a Show? We Asked a Smart Person This week, as the epidemic known as CMJ plagued upon New York City, infecting the city with hordes of buzz bands and concert-going tourists, a more detrimental epidemic also made its big city debut: Ebola. The rare and deadly virus was linked to The Gutter, a venue and bowling alley in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The Gutter canceled its CMJ activities and closed its doors this week after it was discovered that a doctor who had recently been treating patients in West Africa tested positive for Ebola had recently visited the venue. This prompted New Yorkers to receive numerous panicked phone calls from their mothers in Idaho. It also brought on a slew of inevitable hacky Twitter jokes. Ha ha “Ebowla.” Good stuff. Because it’s a bowling alley. Hey maybe hipsters get Ebola from sharing fedoras! LOL classic. Thanks for seeing the humor in illness, Twitter. You are a modern-day Patch Adams.
