Williams, a senior from Davenport, Florida, is being investigated for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, who lives with him and is pregnant with the couple's second child, according to people familiar with the investigation.

"The athletics department is aware of an investigation by the Tallahassee Police Department involving football student-athlete Karlos Williams," the school said in a statement. "Until we receive more information regarding the alleged incident his status with the team will be under review."

Williams was in pads and practicing on Monday.

Some are far worse than others. This is one of those cases.

Many of the colleges with less name recognition fill their roster with walk-on, in-state scholarship, and junior college kids. Kids that won't go on to play on Sundays, most of which will graduate with a degree. The big name schools get the 5 star guys that everyone knows will only hang around for two years. Basketball is even worse, because they only have to hang around for one year. Typically the star one and done players can skate by on probation to get through the season, then it's time to prep for the draft.
