Latest Lawnmower Mod...will it ever end?

My Son decided that this weekend's sun was just to much so he (we) fabricated a roof for his mower. Of course he also decided that my work bench chair seat would make for a much more comfy ride. The chair was a bar stool he took from one of the neighbors on garbage day - to which he explained "its a perfectly good chair for the garage..."

Between the lights, NOS tank, flat black, old tractor stack, now this...its starting to look like a...I won't say it...but at least its keeping him out of the opium dens...

Nope, it never ends.

Sounds totally normal. I have had my 911 for 19 years and there is always some tweak that can make it better.

He needs to mount a cupholder on a gimble (a bar buoy) so he can have a cool drink while he mows.

He's miles ahead of most kids that sit indoors all day playing with their "devices".

He can morph these skills into doing all the handyman stuff around the house when he's an adult. I have a 40 year old step son than can pound a nail or change oil in his car.

You have a lot to be proud of.

You should be proud of him, Mike. More kids nowadays need his ambition.

That really looks like something my 15 year old son would do, and I totally agree, that it is much better to promote this kind of activitiy, rather than sitting on the computer playing reality games all day.

My son is currently helping me build our new horse barn (104'x60' with riding arena and stalls) and i'm letting him run the big equipment (frontend loader, bobcat with 18" auger, and the skylift telescoping forklift). Anybody that is around motorized equipment gets a better appreciation of what it takes to keep it running and uses thier brains to see how things are put together

I kinda like it!

Way worse things he could be doing and what the heck... If it makes him want to mow the grass for you, what's so bad about it?

Good for him! Cheap mods on his first ride.

Maybe he could use some his earned money to get a haircut.

You should post a picture of yourself or maybe your family so we can judge you!

Sorry I went off.

I had to listen to my dad rag on me about my hair about once a week from the time I was 14 or so until well past adulthood....
