Hertz provides my DDs as I need them in whatever city I'm working in. At home, I walk downstairs.

My wife's DD (which I get to drive on occasion): '13 MB C300 6 cyl Sport 4Matic - currently armed with 4 Blizzaks & ready for the crap to come.

My daily driver is a 1995 MB E320 wagon. Near 200.000 miles and still going strong and looks great. Have no idea what I'm going to replace it with. It won't be another MB. They haven't built a good car since the W124 and that ended 20 years ago when the started building cars for the masses.

My buddy is the service manager at the local MB dealership and he confirms that they haven't built a decent car since 1985.

nvr2mny,

Where are you in KC? I also have a black (stock) 5th Gen 4Runner. Yours is a beast! Very well done! Did you document your build on a T4R forum? Would love to check it out.

Thanks,

JA

What is this car? At first I thought it was a Nissan Pulsar GTI-R but the turn signals look different. Just curious.

Mazda 323?

That looks more like it. I would guess something like a Mazda 323 GTX Turbo based on the numbers he gave in his post. Mazda Familia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

4runner

I've been rocking a 4th Gen 4Runner. Been thinking of selling this car recently and maybe get a 996 C4, but the small amount of room you get in the Porsche scares me as i would be limited to a 911sc and 996 C4.

I have been considering an Audi allroad with a 6spd swap. but the maintenance on those can be ridiculous. You could have a fully built s/s 3.2 for the same cost of replacing turbos in their 2.7tt. They are fast though. Thoughts?

Im thinking the responsable thing to do is get a older Landcruiser or an early 4th gen 4runner with higher mileage. These cars are indestructible, dare i say the BEST daily driver? Basically ZERO maintenance costs other than wearable items like oil, brakes, tires etc.

'87 944 Turbo with LS1 conversion for the last few years. The drive to work is a lot more fun now.
