At LAX going to NZ and AU now

Tried to find my OT on this subject, but my newish Samsung tablet doesnt seem to want to search the forums, or at least i havent figured out how yet. Leave at 10PM tonight, arrive at 8AM on Sunday. Having a Scotch in the Air New Zealand VIP lounge.

I love flying with air New Zealand, great service and vibe on board.
Hope you have some time for fun. Say aloha to Bill when you see him in Wellington!
Will be looking forward to some pics.

Happy trails, Richard

I'm pretty jealous - the weather here is sort of crappy, wet, windy and cold, and a chance to see the Southern Cross on the company dime sounds pretty damn good right now.

Have a great trip!

I'm guessing you're going to Sydney or Brisbane... Lots to see but if you get a chance try to go bush. The Outback is incredible.

Enjoy your long flight. I stopped in Tahiti on the way to NZ. And in Fiji and Hawaii on the way back. LAX to Tahiti was 10 hours back then. And enjoy your time down under.

You're right it's not. But it is relative to wages so all fair. My son has a 19 year old working for him and his minimum wage is almost $20ph. On top of that my son has to pay his workers comp and super. The kid works about 45 hours a week and takes home just over $900pw.

Lucky you were'nt there last week when they had storms. Have a good time. Brissy is a nice place.

Seems to me about the same as being in Europe......After the exchange and prices, it averages about 40% more than home......By average, I mean, fuel is double, food maybe 10-15% more.......Beer about $5 each in AU and Europe. The only thing is Europe does vary some from one country to the next........It is what it is.......
