Taking into consideration the increased value of 911's in recent years, this guys hemming and hawing and refusal to sell has only boosted his wealth 10 fold.
I'd dump the collection and laugh all the way to the bank in this climate.

If he waits too long, the market for these cars will tank (it will happen at some point) and then they won't be worth what they are now.
Sad thing is, he'll probably continue to demand above-peak prices.

you guys really think he needs the money? if the market tanks, he will just say, "oh well, it was fun and I tried. ' and move on to something else
