Garage
I will be there as part of Team Honda Research West pitcrew for the Acura ILXs. I'll be one of the refuelers + helping with other stuff.

Did I mention the wind?
Are they running the both sides of the track?

No they said it was because of "tradition" I think the real reason is with the dramatic closure speeds with the different cars the full course would be dangerous. The back side (new side) is almost impossible to pass on

Todd,
I'm sure that is part of it. I know they are having a hard time finding enough Marshals to man all the post for two shifts. The is a Lemons race the same weekend at Sonoma.

I just ran across this thread. I was there racing one of the Mazda6s. Unfortunately my race ended early when a teammate rolled the car. I had just one stint in the car that was riddled with ECU problems that left the car in limp mode the entire stint.

I hope everyone is OK. I'm sorry I didn't make it this year. Oh well, there is always next year.

From what I hear the weather was the best it's ever been. Coldest it got was into the low 50s or high 40s at night.

Our driver who rolled our car made it out with no injuries.

The last time they had a Lemons race actually at Thunderhill, they may have set a world record for the most race cars to start an event (236 cars I believe), and the locals renamed the track Thunderschliefe for the combined old and new section being such a long track.
