New tan dog is positive, energetic, and happy.
Brown dog is not yet quite sure.

Combined: they will eventually morph into wonder-twin-diabolical-destroy-the-universe-madness. Beware.

Yes, Tempo is a Guide Dog (seeing eye dog) as were her parents. She is 1/8 Golden and 7/8 Lab, 18 months old. She is off duty hence the lack of the chest lead. She is supposed to be all business when the chest lead is on. Not easy with the Choco Lab. He has a fondness for her and why not, smart blonde with awesome eyes!

Her coat is amazing! So soft. She is groomed every day. Such a sweetie.

She is absolutely gorgeous Mike! I hope she is a good fit for your wife as well. A good service dog can do so much to help a person keep/recover their independence.

Her coat looks just beautiful. It would be REALLY hard for me to keep from petting he when she was "in service." I'd probably have to put my hands in my pockets!

Angela, her coat feels like a puppy's coat. I thought my labs coat was soft and shiny...he's got nothing on this blonde! She has the sweetest disposition but gives it right back to my lab when her harness comes off. I always thought my lab was really smart but this one is a whole other layer. Even when they play she just outsmarts the rough play and he has 20-30 lbs on her.

Seems like lots of folks know not to pet her while she is working. Today a women petted her while we were waiting for a table at breakfast. My wife didn't correct her and Tempo didn't really acknowledge her.

Yesterday my Son and wife and Tempo went to Lowes. The women at the checkout freaked a bit about having the dog there. My wife said she made a bit of a fuss. It really pissed off my Son and wife to the point she called the store and ripped into the manager. It helps that I'm there 2-3 times a week! The women must have had a dog phobia but being an employee the way she acted was excessive. Not sure what the best way to handle it was cuz I wasn't there but my wife is very political in public so I imagine it was felt with as best as it could have been.

Great looking dog! Anyone who works with the public in any way and makes a stink over a well-behaved service dog has a problem. There is a reason why they are legal to take everywhere.

I don't understand the issue about people freaking over service dogs. In Europe or at least Germany many dog owners take non service dogs everywhere and it's no biggie. Over here we seems to fear "mans best friend" too frequently.

Tempo is beautiful.

I don't think it's service dogs per se....some folks just have irrational phobias imo. I'm partial to labs too. Yesterday, I visited a friend who has an 11 mo. old GSD that's in the process of being trained as he loses his vision. She's such a sweetie too. Good luck with your wife's journey Lubey...give her a "treat" for me
