Will Nix of Will Nix Ford before he went away on a full lifetime adventure to Pelican Bay on a murder for hire beef had a Lambo Countach that kept blowing clutches at 4 G's a pop. So he put in a Ford 427. I used to see him riding around in it as well as the 427 Cobra with the good looking blond.

To think you would blow all of that for a 6 x 8 condo without a view cause you had a disagreement with your sales manager over paying your salesmen's commissions?

Good vid but the audio stopped it from being an excellent one. I could barely understand him when the car was running.
Maybe a dedicated mic near his mouth would have helped.

The car is one of the greats. I've seen and sat in one and the first thing that stuck me is how basic the interior seems.
It almost looks like an amateur put it together. The one I sat in had a mainly black interior and because of that the flaws were even more obvious.
Lots of the flat panels were rippled.

26 years ago on the first day of my honeymoon, we were coming across the ambassador bridge to Canada with us driving a 5 year old Datsun 280ZX. As we came up to the pay window, I heard the sweetest sound ever and looked over to see a new Countach stopping to toss the coins into the basket. His slider side window wasn't high enough to reach the basket, so he had to open up the lift door and get out of the car to pay the toll booth. Way cool, and I still have a picture of that car on that bridge.

Everytime I see the back of that with the "lightning bolt" looking symbol, it' made me think "danger".

It's so over the top and ridiculous.

This is a cool video, true enthusiast.

Actually, that's a good impression of what it's like inside one. If you want to talk, you're going to have to compete with all of the other noise, of which there is a lot...

Thanks for that David. That is a really cool video. As regards the understanding of the owner well he is English. As I was borne there I had no trouble understanding him but can understand why others can have a problem.

The noise level in that kind of car can become annoying but I suppose it is the nature of the beast. Crossing the US in one of those I think would be quite tedious but I would give it a shot. I see he has a Landrover or two in the garage which are pretty handy in rural muddy areas.

A matter of fact owner/driver totally unlike Jeremy Clarkson.

I had posters of Countachs on my wall as a kid. Had one pass on the highway this past spring that brought back fond memories of my dream...

Then I worked on one. Man! what a cobbled together mess. Cockpit looks every part of a kit car. Doors wouldn't stay open and actually trapped me as I was working under the dash. The build is very '70s. We made a lot of comparisons between the Countach and 246 Dino we were working on at the same time. That said, I still wouldn't kick one out of the garage if one were given to me.

Will those 345/35/15 tires fit my 78 SC?
Nice video- A lot of cool up close features I'd never seen. He looks like he's having a "crisis" as he's driving near the end.

I thought Lambo's were cool, but was never bonkers over them.

I think it's funny, when he pronounces the name, it sounds like coont' ash

Pretty cool, I think I may like them better now than I did then. Or maybe I just don't remember how much I liked them back then.

I, like most guys my age have always wanted one, but fortunately even if I did have the money to buy one I would never do it. I'm 6-4 and I refuse to have a car I can't drive.
I love his attitude for he is going to "drive the nuts off it". That is what they are for

As a child, I had a poster of a 911 Turbo on my wall. The other kids had Farrah, Catherine Bach, and Lamborghini posters. They thought I was the weird one.

That's Harry Metcalfe who started EVO magazine and is actively involved in Octane, he has been in the automotive journalism scene since the '80s. Overall good guy and huge car buff.

His Countach video is brilliant as are most of his other videos.

I really enjoyed that!!! He is clearly enthusiastic about his car and I can appreciate that kind of passion!

Actucally, he gets it closer than most people. An Italian would probably pronounce the last syllable more like "ach" than "ash".

The rest of the world usually pronounces it as coon tosh, which is dead wrong.

For what that's worth...
