I have been getting great rates by using the Costco Travel site. Costco Travel: Rental Car Low Price Finder

I rented a convertible in Florida for 10 days in December. The rate that I got through Costco was $150 less than anywhere else.

I was just there a few weeks ago and rented from Avis. Unfortunately all the rental cars are a tram-ride away and it takes quite afew minutes to make the trip from the terminal so make sure you account for the time when you head home.

Check out the Blackhawk auto museum in Danville, it was worth the trip. Also the Academy of Art University has a private collection of cars, I checked that out too, it includes Tucker #3 among others. Hours are weird, but the cars are in a glass first floor display so you can see them all from the sidewalk and not too far from Fisherman's warf, a few blocks.
