The craziest 964 price yet??

I know these are "rare", yes, it's air cooled, but seriously? I realize there are other threads I could have posted to, but this is just nuts.... Justified?

Bigger fool theory.

Jim Richards 01-31-2015 12:56 PM

I guess that seller is trolling for a buyer that absolutely has to have a 964 Speedster museum piece. You never know...

I'd probably cut loose my 39kmile garage queen for around $100k.
:D

Shaun @ Tru6 01-31-2015 01:09 PM

It's a speedster. They'll get that price.

motion 01-31-2015 01:18 PM

Did anyone besides Shaun read the ad? Only 3700 miles on it. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go for that price.

Jim Richards 01-31-2015 01:30 PM

I read it. Still, it's a heckuva price. Maybe Shaun and motion are right. You never know.

yeah, but I decided to post even considering the mileage. I should have bought 3 and put them in storage bubbles...LOL

Seems kind of silly to me, but hey - people are buying basket case 356s for that kind of money now.

I thought my rear clip would be doing better.

Tiptronic? No thanks. Not for half that money. Never crazy about triple black, personally, either.

widgeon13 01-31-2015 02:52 PM

It's an automatic!

Yep. Read the ad. While I agree it's a time capsule, it's a slush-box in a not so desirable year. The 89 Speedster on the other hand....

This is when people value a hard asset more than cash. I wonder why this is happening?

Jim Richards 01-31-2015 04:33 PM

Drugs?

When people start having more money than they know what do do with we are turning the corner we hit a few years back.

saxen 01-31-2015 06:45 PM

It's a speedster- low miles and clean, it's a lot but not stupid money for what it is.

Nickshu 01-31-2015 06:49 PM

For that price I'd be Ferrari shopping.
