Tug? I have an 8N that I use for that.

No immediate plans, per se for the 'mog. Just thought I would use it for riding the fire breaks in the mountains, and doing some camping.

Keep it for a year, then start looking for a Ducati.

40mph?? Is that the top speed for those Unimogs?
Can they be used to tow a travel trailer at 65mph? (Towing rating absolutely capable, but speed?

Some of the later unimogs have "fast axles" but I don't know what their top speed is.

The one I am restoring now for myself will top out at 80mph and tow 22 tons. The yellow one in the back ground will do 60mph right now with standard gearing.

I guess you don't have to worry much about door dings from other cars.

anyone know about using one of these beast on the street? Are they street legal? Seem like very low miles and not a lot of money. Since they are a bit overbuilt, it should last a loooooong time with a CAT diesel motor for civilian use. Why do they get rid of them with suck low milage?

I can see you now...rolling up in one of those beasts. That would also look sweet trundling along in the HOV lane.
