We are in St Lucia. Yesterday they were playing Bob in the supermarket in Rodney Bay. Today we had a water taxi from RB to Soufriere with 2 Rastas with dreads - both separately smoking ganja in the front & back of the boat - they never pass joints in the islands from what I have seen. The boat was painted in Jamaican colors & was called Jammin' . . .

Anyone else here old enough to have actually seen him live?

He was the Man. One of my early idols. Had my own reggae band and wanted to do dread locks but mom wouldn´t have it.

Would've is the contraction of would have. Sounds like would of. Honest error.

Absolutely stunning musicality - double & triple rhythms at once.
His music delivered to me my appreciation of Reggae...!!!
One of the biggest Souls in all of musical history...IMO.

"Could You Be Loved"

Could you be love and be loved?
Could you be love and be loved?

Don't let them fool ya,
Or even try to school ya! Oh, no!
We've got a mind of our own,
So go to hell if what you're thinking is not right!
Love would never leave us alone,
I am the darkness there must come out the light.

Could you be love and be loved?
Could you be love, wo now! - and be loved?

(The road of life is rocky and you may stumble too,
So while you point your fingers someone else is judging you)
Love your brotherman!
(Could you be - could you be - could you be love?
Could you be - could you be love?
Could you be - could you be - could you be love?
Could you be - could you be love?)

Don't let them change ya, oh! -
Or even rearrange ya! Oh, no!
We've got a life to live.
They say: only - only -
Only the fittest of the fittest shall survive -
Stay alive! Eh!

Could you be love and be loved?
Could you be love, wo now! - and be loved?

(You ain't gonna miss your water until your well runs dry;
No matter how you treat him, the man will never be satisfied.)
Say something! (Could you be - could you be - could you be love?
Could you be - could you be love?)
Say something! Say something!
(Could you be - could you be - could you be love?)

"Coming In From The Cold"

In this life, in this life, in this life,
In this, oh sweet life:
We're (we're coming in from the cold);
We're coming in (coming in), coming in (coming in),
coming in (coming in), coming in (coming in),
Coming in from the cold.

It's you - it's you - it's you I'm talkin' to -
Well, you (it's you) - you (it's you) - you I'm talking to now.

Why do you look so sad and forsaken?
When one door is closed, don't you know other is open?

Would you let the system make you kill your brotherman?
No, no, no, no, no, no! No, Dread, no!
Would you make the system make you kill your brotherman?
(No, Dread, no!)
Would you make the system get on top of your head again?
(No, Dread, no!)
Well, the biggest man you ever did see was - was once just a baby.

In this life (in this life),
In this (in this life, oh sweet life):
Coming in from the cold;
We're coming in (coming in), coming in-a (coming in),
coming in (coming in), ooh! (coming in)
Coming in from the cold!

It's life (it's life), it's life (it's life), it's life (it's life):
it's - wa - well! - coming in from the cold!
We're coming in (coming in), coming in (coming in) -
ooh (coming in), hey! (coming in),
Coming in from the cold!

It's you - you - you I'm talking -
Well, yes, you, bilyabong! (it's you);
ew! - you I'm talking to now.
We-e-ell, why do you look so - look so - look so sad -
look so sad and forsaken?
Don't you know: When one door is closed - when one door is closed,
many more is open?

We-e-e-ell, would you let the system get on top of your head again?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, Dread, no!
Would you let the system make you kill your brotherman?
No, Dread, no!
We-e-e-ell, would you make the system get on top of your head again?
(No, Dread, no!) No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!
Well, the biggest - biggest man you ever - ever
Did-a see was-a - was-a once a baby.

And listen to the Dr. and start treatment right away. Don't put it off thinking you can wish it away like Marley or Steve Jobs.
