Yep, when Jimmy said "it's your word against mine" when Chuck asked him if he knew he had just committed a felony... and who put the branch on the horn... cliffhangers they be albeit somewhat small compared to Who Shot J.R.

I just wonder how many of the characters from BB will be worked into the following seasons as anyone is fair game... will Walt and Jesse appear at some point?

I was hoping chuck was dead after hitting his head so we can move on to something more exciting.

Since he survived and now has the tape, my bet is that jimmy hires mike to make chuck and his tape disappear

Interesting!

Jimmy is to kind of a soul to do that. He loves his brother unlike Chuck who hates his brother because mom loved him best.

Jimmy gets disbarred, changes his name and writes the bar exam as Saul.

Gus left the note.

I like this show even better than breaking bad

Close - except Chuck merely has to threaten Jimmy with the tape...and that's as far as it goes. Jimmy leaves town to start over somewhere else....unfortunately leaving Kim also as a consequence.

And yes.......Gus left the note. He doesn't want Hector killed because he has another measure of injury infliction in mind (remember Hector shooting his friend by poolside in a BB episode, when they were very young). This is how Mike and Gus meet for the first time and begin their relationship. How Hector is injured and wheelchair bound later might involve Mike...that part will be interesting to know.

Yeah but Jimmy does not leave town.

I'm leaning towards Jimmy agreeing to change his name.

Chuck can't stand the fact that Jimmy is an attorney because he did not attend an Ivy league school.

It makes him crazy that his POS low life brother may be perceived as a peer and benefit from the name Chuck has made for himself.

ramonesfreak 04-21-2016 04:35 AM

There is no way jimmy can get disbarred and change his name and continue practicing law. Whether it's chuck or any of the hundreds of other people jimmy knows, has worked for, represented, judges, court personnel etc...would report him. In BB his face is on billboards and tv as Saul. He didn't also have reconstructive surgery to change his appearance.

The only logical explanation is the tape dissapears, Jimmy avoids getting disbarred and simply legally changes his name for whatever reason

Further, regarding Jimmy getting disbarred, changing his name and getting relicensed, you don't simply show up to the bar exam with a drivers license and get in. I've taken the test and you have to also show you graduated from law school. I don't think jimmy or the guy he knows in BB that can give you a new identity could make that happen

I'm not going to read any of the posts on this thread because a quick glance shows lots of spoilers but I'm half way through season 2 on iTunes and it's not really very good. I've always hated "idiot stories", which are plot lines that only move ahead when one or more characters are idiots.

In this case, it's the main character, Jimmy. He does something in every episode that is just stupid beyond comprehension, it causes everyone around him lots of grief and drama ensues. But it's not good drama, it's "idiot damage" drama.

This device is used a lot in comedy, where someone has to be an idiot in order to accomplish the story line but it's not good when used in drama. The best stories are ones in which everyone is intelligent yet still there is plenty of opportunity for treacherous behavior, double-crossing, illicit behavior, etc. Crime and legal stories suck when they depend on idiots, IMO.

The only thing decent in the show is the Mike character but most of his situations and set-ups defy credulity. That's the writers' fault but he's a good actor and does the most he can with what he's given. The whole older brother who is "allergic to electricity" deal is just writers who are desperate for a set-up and the well has gone dry. It's the opposite of inspiration.

I wanted this to be better when I paid the $23 for season two, (season one was on Netflix). Season one was slightly better, it took a few episodes for it to go completely stale.

Well then! You should stick to Aliens vs Predators and Batman Vs Superman as your entertainment fare.

Jimmy isn't an idiot, he just doesn't play well within the box of conventional rules. He became a rather free spirit after he saw what a gullible "sheep" his Dad was. Jimmy's problem is that he has a conscience, otherwise he could have risen right to the top of the corporate ladder.

As far as the the older brother phobia of "electricity" you would be surprised at the twists and turns mental illness take. HRC and the "vast right wing conspiracy" that she has been claiming as her Nemesis for at least the last 25 years. Obama and his cool, calm and collected states of emotional detachment... and the twisted logic of being proud of not backing up your own promise to do something if a Red Line was crossed.

I am sorry to say that it is your thinking that is suspect and lacks credulity.

Well said and 100% agree, Tabs. This is one of the best shows on TV.

Perhaps Speeder and Baz are both correct.

So I wonder how the storyline plays out if Chuck sends the recording of Jimmy's "confession" directly to Kim? Being that she punched Jimmy pretty hard in the arm after Chuck's original claim that Jimmy was behind it all, she already kinda/sorta suspects Jimmy is involved. And then Kim is faced with the decision of doing the "right thing", including ending her relationship with Jimmy, giving back the client, and threatening to take it up with the Bar Assoc.

Kim already knows Jimmy is guilty of it......hence the shoulder punches.

But you do raise an interesting point of what happens if Chuck sends her a copy of the tape.

IMHO it won't get that far. Chuck will play the tape for Jimmy and Jimmy will have to shut down his practice. Losing Kim will unfortunately be the collateral damage of all of that.

I'm more interesting in the note left for Mike and that part of the story. Gustavo and Mike begin their relationship.....

I would suggest that I have better taste than you. As proof, I offer exhibit A: I'm eating this burrito right now from Yuca's in Los Feliz. This is the burrito:

Yuca's is in the parking lot of a liquor store.

And this is the James Beard award they won. You may or may not have seen one of these before:

Questions? :)

I don't doubt it but it's still not very good. That's sort of a tallest midget compliment.

Jimmy's name change was explained in BB. He said he needed a Jewish name for street cred with his ghetto clientele.

I'm anxiously awaiting the first appearance of Badger and Skinny Pete :)

So given the Season 4 finale last night, how many more seasons could there be? Seems like one, possibly 2 more to me.

That's something I hadn't thought of. But it makes sense.

That parking lot trick by Mike with the chewing gum was pretty epic! :p
