Actually it was 6 degrees, but much warmer in Denver, same as in Florida. No jacket needed

You guys don't have to live up north. SWFL is always beautiful.

5 degrees with 25 mph wind makes about-10 to -20 windchills. We had blowing snow so hard earlier, visibility was honestly about 100 feet, I could barely see my barn for long periods of time.

Perhaps you guys with sand between your toes think we are all complaining?
The snowmobile does not appreciate the sand ! LOL
Albeit it might be nice to have a swinging door.

WHERE I AM

I got sick of the cold and went south for a week or so. My son in Boston says many of the streets are down one lane and the parking spaces and sidewalks are piled 6 feet deep in snow.

Chilly this mornin', -12.6 here at the tip of your left baby finger. Dead calm though. Last night had steady wind of 30 and gusts to 45mph.

Might go swimmin'.

Only-8F this AM. Was forecast for -21 but clouds rolled in and helped the temp hang in there! I really don't mind clouds, especially when they work like this.

That is almost the same temperature and moisture content of a popcorn fart!

I have a few friends that have property around Palm Desert. They spend quite a lot of time there this time of year.

We had 16 deg C temps last week. 60 deg F!
So much for the outdoor hockey rinks!!

-1ºF right now with windchills about -25ºF and we got about 14" of snow last night. Too cold to go out and do the driveway. Not going anywhere anyway, just too cold!

-10 right now but it's sunny out. We haven't got much snow this year so the driveway/roads are pretty clear.

I feel for you guys up in the Northeast. We had that type of snow last winter. I don't believe ours was as bad, though. It sure seemed that way at the time.

Not doing a thing outside today. Wife is making her chili for lunch.

-15 this a.m...at about the base of the baby finger, but a little more inland...don't have the big lake close enough to keep it warm!

The thing that gets me is the duration of the cold and frequency w/ depth of the snowfalls.

I don't think we've been above 32F for more than a few hrs since early mid Jan. I'm running out of room to put the snow. We had another 8" last night w/ another 6-12 predicted for Tues. High for the next week is ~12F w/ lows to -10 on several nights.

Not gonna do the drive today either, it's 12F now and dropping w/ 25-35mph wind out of the N, tomorrow isn't gonna be any different unfortunately

The Coast appears to have it way worse though, I wouldn't want to be in Boston this week.

Cheers from a Bahle clan (Suttons Bay) spawn stuck in the desert southwest. 55f and blue skies is no way to spend winter. I miss snow!
