-25 this morning when I went snowshoeing with my dog. He was walking on three legs, and I almost had to fasten my top button.

-9F again last night. The gf has no water in her house. The feed line from the street froze!! Tried to thaw it with a welders rig but he couldn't get conductivity...I think there is plastic in there somewhere.

Still a bit of snow around, http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424865971.jpg

Saw in the local paper this morning that February in NW Ohio, will likely end up being the coldest one on record....YEEHAW !

Meanwhile, it's too cold to work on my truck brakes (caliper leak), or go out and secure my wood supply for NEXT year, of which, I need the truck.

Though we had a bit of rain last weekend and will get a bit more this next weekend, it generally has been disgustingly nice here in SoCal. Sunny, shirtsleeve weather.

What that means is that our water supplies are not being replenished. That's a problem because we have many more water customers than we have water for. The prognosticators are saying that across the state, draconian water-saving measures are in the offing for the coming summer. And if this drought continues, the impact on agriculture on the state (and on property values of farmland) will be enormous.

We could probably ship you a few gazillion tons of snow and ice. That should help. Just send as many reefer trucks as you can.

Instead of a pipeline with oil in it you could get our recycled snow water. Obammy would approve. Win win. What could possibly go wrong.....

If that is not pure enough then you could water your lawns and golf courses with it. The ground water you could use for drinking.

I'm thinking about bull dozing it into a C5 Galaxy and then fly to SoCal to dump over the cities, by opening the rear door and flying straight up.

Happening right now 2 PM ET. ANOTHER storm, my wife and our dog duo, braving the elements once again. Schools, hospital, beer stores, etc all closed.

Pray for us sinners!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1424888206.jpg

Oh Haha 02-25-2015 09:56 AM

Yikes!
Hang in there, EastCoasters.

We are supposed to be getting a reprieve from the bitter cold starting Sunday. Hopefully it will continue on to you folks.

ckelly78z 02-25-2015 10:05 AM

Amazingly, no real snow in the immediate forcast, just clear skies that allow the temp to fall through the day tomorrow to -10 for Thurs. night and then back up in the high 20s for the weekend and more possible snow. Hopefully, we can maintain the 30s next week, and I can get a few things done.

We would love to have all that cold weather up here. It's 31 today, after several days in the 40's. We have had little snow this winter and most of it has melted. Plus side, is that I may get p-car out this weekend.
