Video Exonerates Man Set Up By Louisiana Cops And Prosecutors
More corruption and misconduct by cops and prosecutors....this time in Louisiana......more "good ol' boy" syndrome.....
![]() If not for cell phone video, 47-year-old disabled veteran Douglas Dendinger could be going to prison — because of an apparent coordinated effort by Washington Parish, La. cops and prosecutors who falsely accused him of battery and witness intimidation. LINK ![]()

That is the number one thing that should bring hard PRISON time for the every cop and prosecutor involved. There should be zero tolerance for that. Put all the cop and everyone involved in prison for the full term for what the Veteran was tried for.

For some reason, cops caught on video or determined by evidence to be guilty never seem to do any time. Instead, the taxpayers end up paying the victims. Suspension without pay (or even with) seems to be all cops face, even when they kill people who could have been managed in non lethal ways.

I think instead of cops wearing body cams maybe citizens should.

Cops harrass people videoing them - although it's legal. There was also an instance last week of cops beating up a guy then taking a break to run back and turn off their dash cam...

Why aren’t the seven witnesses to Dendinger’s nonexistent assault on Cassard already facing felony charges? Why are all but one of the cops who filed false reports still wearing badges and collecting paychecks? Why aren’t the attorneys who filed false reports facing disbarment? Dendinger’s prosecutors both filed false reports, then prosecuted Dendinger based on the reports they knew were false. They should be looking for new careers — after they get out of jail.
If a group of regular citizens had pulled this on someone, they’d all likely be facing criminal conspiracy charges on top of the perjury and other charges. So why aren’t these cops and prosecutors? I could be wrong, but my guess is that they’ll all be let off due to “professional courtesy” or some sort of exercise of prosecutorial discretion. And so the people who ought to be held to a higher standard than the rest of us will once again be held to a lower one. LINK

Louisiana is notorious for that sort of thing. Another scam that they are notorious for is arresting people on trumped up charges, because they can then keep the offenders possessions and any money they make from the sale of the possessions.

The conspiracy starts there and it may or may not be true that subsequent participants were not lied to as well and believed they were acting in good faith. Anyone who knew the truth deserves jail time. Anyone who had doubts but went along anyway deserves to never work in law enforcement or as an attorney again.

Not sure exactly how it works in a legal sense, but seems to me if a person who works in the legal system (officer of the court) signs a statement and swears it to be the truth....especially in a situation like this where a man's freedom (life essentially) is in question.....they should be held accountable for it - to whatever extent the law requires. Those who deal in the justice system should be help to a higher standard than the public. Or else how are they to be trusted?
