Though in reality, I only see UK losing if they beat themselves.

LSU took `em to the wire a few weeks ago, as did Georgia last night - mediocre teams both. The Cats have earned this year's overall no. 1 seed, but they ain't no `72 Bruins.

I figured this was another crazy weather thread.

I can't get excited about watching a bunch of huge men play with their huge balls.

When does F1 start?

As beleaguered as Florida has been this season......they also gave the Cats a very competitive game in their first match. And they meet again this Saturday in the last regular season game. Then the SEC Championship begins.....and they may meet again.

That said I agree with Matt - they can only beat themselves at this juncture and I too look for them in the finals.


I hear ya, Glen - my #1 sports passion is college football but that's essentially over now until the fall so I'm milking what I can get. College BB is the most fun when your team is in contention, of course.

Still can't believe that UVa is #2. Looking forward to the ACC and NCAA tournaments.

Ohio State shows moments of brilliance, but not nearly often enough to be consistant, or a contender.

Virgina has now lost Anderson with an appendectomy.

I used to love to play the game....not that there's anything wrong with that :p

I'm afraid the ACC tourney (as I've always loved it) is a thing of the past although there are still great games being played. I caught Tues. games in the Coliseum and it'll be several years before it returns back. Remember when "time stood still" as the ACC tourney was being played....no mas :(

love the Irish! Held the lead by 15 into the half, Duke started a freshman run but wasn't enough - ND won with a dramatic fade away with seconds left...

Three years ago I was hoping for 20 wins and an invitation to the NCAA. Now I'm disappointed with 3 losses.

I know this is sour grapes but I do think the ACC wanted UNC and Duke in the title game. The refs did all they could.

I'm not sure if Duke or UVa will be a 1 seed, but a 2 seed isn't bad.

Well that was quick......my North Florida Ospreys (class of '84, with daughter currently enrolled as a freshman) made it to the dance for the first time and lost in round #1/game #1. :mad::rolleyes::eek::(

But the winner now has to play Duke.:D

UVa gets their ass kicked in every big game. I don't know why I still pull for them.

Michigan St. played great.

Two Ohio teams left. My favorite it Dayton, but they don't have much of a chance. Hope the Flyers can get past Oklahoma.

The ND Butler game was really good. Anytime it goes into OT it's good.

So glad Butler lost! Go Bucky!

Bill Self has commented in an interview that "we have nothing to gain by playing Wichita State". Greg Marshall of WSU has on multiple occasions said that he would like to play both Kansas and Kansas State. KSU has supposedly talked to WSU about scheduling games, KU won't even consider it. WSU by three at half, hopefully they keep it up!

Well tonight sports fans we have half of the Sweet Sixteen vying to reach the Elite Eight. The other half play tomorrow night.

Matt's Shockers vs. Mike's Domers on CBS at 7:15pm eastern.

Tar Heels and Bucky at 7:45pm eastern on TBS.

Then the #1 Cats vs. the Mounties at 9:45pm eastern on CBS.

And lastly the (other) Cats vs. Xavier at 10:15pm eastern on TBS.
