Looking for a case for iPhone 6

Anybody using iPhone 6? Not Plus.
I will receive my phone this weekend and now I want to buy a case. It should not make the phone that much "larger".
Does anybody have a suggestion?
Are the original Apple-cases any good?

I went through the same thing a few weeks ago and bought this:

Amazon.com: iPhone 6 Case, Spigen Tough Armor Case for iPhone 6 (4.7-Inch) - Retail Packaging - Gunmetal (SGP11022): Cell Phones & Accessories

The case fits well and is certainly snug and compact. My only complaint is that I question its ultimate ability to protect the phone, but I am very easy on phones so I don't expect it be an issue.

I have had the Incipio NGP on every iPhone i have owned. It is very slim and does not add much bulk, but still provides adequate protection from minor drops. It is raised just high enough to protect the screen. It is highly rated by testers as well.

I have the Spigen Tough Armor case and don't really like it. The areas that cover the button on the side are so hard, you really have to press down to feel like you're pushing the buttons. Main thing for me is to have a belt clip holster that works, as I always use one of those at the gym. I'll be looking at Pelican next. I got one of those tempered glass display covers too, had it all with me when I went to pick up my phone, so it didn't spend anytime unprotected since day one.

I bought a Pelican case identical to the above but in black. Make note of the Amazon reviews as they will point out pros and cons. I got mine at the AT&T store and didn't check Amazon until afterwards. The raised edges on the above case can create frustration when trying to scroll or jump through your contact list - and the buttons on the side for volume and power - like an Amazon review mentioned - would take a gorilla's strength in order to press hard enough to activate said buttons. And the tabs at the bottom have to be flipped down for charger and earphone use - they are also rather sturdy and can at least initially be rather difficult to keep down. Also - the plastic shield provided with the case extends slightly beyond the phone face surface - to where it curves down. I never could get the edges to adhere and the bubbles were visible from the front of the case. I finally got tired of them this week and removed the shield altogether. In short - avoid the above case.

I've used an Otterbox Commuter for about about five phones now, work and personal. They always seem to last the life of the phone and do the job. -J

Magpul. Does not add much volume, good grippy surface and good protection when combined with a screen guard. It is a weapons accessory company, so they know their plastics and the cases are made in the US.

Tech21 - at the Apple store the salesguy took his phone out of his pocket, tossed it in the air and let it hit the hard floor on the edge. Minimal bulk, provides nice grip.

I have the Unu battery case for my iPhone 5S. The case is a little thicker to have room for the battery, but it is great to be able to flick a switch and charge my phone! The micro-USB connection charges the phone, the battery case, and is a pass-through for tethering to a PC (iTunes...etc).

They have a thin version for the iPhone 6, and a higher capacity version which is probably a bit thicker like my case.

I can't understand why one would buy a super-thin, elegant, minimalist phone and wrap an enormous clunky case around it.

If you are interested in a quality leather case, Piel Frama produce the best -- great protection also. These are handmade in Spain and available on eBay.

This is the one the wife and I use. 2014 New Leather Flip Cover Credit Card Wallet Case for Apple iPhone 6 4 7 Inch | eBay

Paper thin, looks nice, but protects it relatively well (probably not for rodeo use)...Cost me $6.49 each (make an offer).

I've got an Otter for my 5. Can't remember the model - extreme or something. Makes the phone bigger because it's rubber. Get's stuck in my pocket more because it's rubber, but good shock absorption because it's rubber.... Easy to hold onto, with my big hands because.... you guessed it...

Holger,

I am using the Apple black leather case and like it a lot. I have looked at other cases and have yet to find one I like better than the Apple case.
