A Very Merry UnWedding day to me :)

I was just informed that 28 years ago I got married.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdsZT7WKjW8

Means I've been divorced for 25 years.

Always learn from your mistakes and if it wasn't a happy thing I wouldn't had posted it. or this

Every time you make a decision in your life it is always the right one to make or you wouldn't have made it. If it turns out later that it was a wrong decision well that is when you learn.

I think I'll buy a lotto ticket.

Divorce is always good news. I know that sounds weird, but it's true because no good marriage has ever ended in divorce … That would be sad. If two people were married and they were really and they just had a great thing and then they got divorced, that would be really sad. But that has happened zero times. [Louis C.K.: Hilarious, 2011]

I'm sure you made some starving lawyers very happy.

Are you still paying for it? Just curious.

That's what I'm wondering. You are happy that you had a failed relationship?

Up here divorce is fairly civilised. You split the assets (and debts) you acquired during the course of the marriage. If she claims maintenance the court might give her two or three years so she can go back to school to get a trade or a degree, but after that it's pay your own way baby. No going back to the well for a second try.

Child support is a different ball game. It goes on till the child is out of school. That all depends on how the lawyers write the separation agreement about child support and that has to concur with the child support laws.

I paid child support for 5 years. We came to a understanding outside of the courts ruling and 4years after that he came to live with me.

The lawyers were quite happy. They took $35,000 ( $15K from her and $20K from me).

No one is ever happy that you failed at something. At the time I was quite angry and bitter, but when you get older and realise that there are something's in life that you can't make work no matter how hard you try you move on and look for someone that you can make it work with.

Sometimes you have to have something bad first in order to appreciate what you got later whether your current status is another wife or being single.
